I'm Haggai Leffler. A sports nutrition graduate of the Wingate Institute, a certified long-distance running and strength coach, vegan since 2011, and a marathon runner.
This blog has been with me since 2016, and more than 500 recipes have been published on it since. What I do here is simple: I help vegan athletes understand what's holding them back — and act on it, without extremes and without shortcuts.
What I studied
I studied sports nutrition at the Wingate Institute — the scientific basis behind every recommendation I give. At the same place I was certified as a long-distance running coach (from 5K to the marathon) and as a strength coach for hypertrophy and lean muscle building.
Before all that I studied photography and communications at Sapir College — the foundation of everything published here, from the photos to the way I explain things.

My story
The love of my life is long-distance running. I started running seriously in my late 20s, ran two marathons — Tel Aviv 2013 and Paris 2014 — and I'm still trying to get into the New York City Marathon.
Beyond running, you'll find me in the gym a few times a week, or working on handstands along the Tel Aviv promenade.

When I realized that vegan nutrition in sports was a field full of opinions and short on science, I decided to study it seriously. I don't believe in shortcuts — I believe in what you can sustain for the long haul.
How I work
Research-based. Every recommendation is grounded in academic sports nutrition — not trends, not what works for influencers.
Simple and clear. No expensive products, no exotic supplements. Everything comes from your local supermarket, explained in plain language.
Built to last. No crash diets. We build habits that stick for years — because that's what truly changes your body and your performance.
