An easy no-bake recipe for homemade protein bars, containing 15 grams of protein per bar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup natural peanut butter (250 grams)
- 1/2 cup natural silan (date syrup)
- 3 tablespoons apple sauce (approx. 50 grams)
- 3.5 scoops vegan vanilla protein powder (approx. 105 grams)
- 2 cups unsweetened puffed rice cereal
- Optional: pinch of coarse salt
- Optional: half a teaspoon of cinnamon
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix silan and apple sauce (you can add salt and cinnamon).
- Add peanut butter and mix well until a smooth and shiny cream is formed.
- Add the protein powder and mix to a soft, playdough-like consistency.
- Pour in the puffed rice cereal and knead with your hands until it's covered in the dough.
- Spread in a small square pan lined with parchment paper and press down well with the bottom of a glass.
- Freeze for two hours.
- Remove, cut into 10 rectangles, and drizzle with a little peanut butter mixed with silan.
Tips
If the mixture feels dry and crumbly, add one tablespoon of water. Store the bars in an airtight container in the freezer.
