Easy-to-make chickpea patties that contain only 76 calories per patty! A perfect meal for post-workout or lunch.
Who among us hasn't come across canned chickpeas in the supermarket and has no idea what to do with them?
Indeed, chickpeas are a wonderful source of protein, vitamin B, and folic acid. They are low in fat and rich in dietary fiber (which aids in prolonged satiety). It's also great to dip hummus at hummus restaurants and incorporate these golden grains into dishes like couscous, for example. But you can also make them the main course and a significant player on the dinner table.
I made these patties quite by chance when I wanted to make something delicious from a can that had been sitting in my cupboard for a few weeks. I initially thought of making falafel (the ultimate chickpea patty) but I wanted to make a more elegant patty, one that could be served for a festive meal.
These patties have a delicate and delightful lemon flavor; they are soft and melt-in-your-mouth. You can serve them in pita bread with salads and tahini for a perfect bite.
I opened the can after making sure it didn't contain bisphenol A-BPA (a toxic substance released from tin cans) as stated on the packaging.
