A quick, healthy, protein-rich, and gluten-free toast made from lentil flour and tahini. A perfect and satisfying solution for breakfast or dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons lentil flour
- 1 tablespoon psyllium husk
- 1 tablespoon raw tahini
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (za'atar or granulated garlic can also be used)
- 3-4 tablespoons water
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.
- Add the tahini and water and mix well until there are no lumps and a thick spread-like consistency is achieved.
- Line a contact toaster with baking paper, pour a little of the batter, and close.
- Wait about 3-5 minutes until the toast is brown and crispy.
Tips
The secret to the fluffy texture is psyllium – don't skip it! Add water gradually until the desired consistency is reached. Nutritional values: approximately 190 calories and 10 grams of protein per toast.
