Salted Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bars You Won't Be Able to Stop Eating
View this post on Instagram
I’ll admit, even I sometimes get a craving to munch on something that isn't exactly the healthiest, lowest in calories, or highest in protein.
Just to mix something sweet and salty and snack away, guilt-free.
So, even though I am (once again) in the middle of a long cutting phase, I manage to fit calorie-dense foods into my daily balance.
And believe me, it’s worth it big time.
Truthfully, there’s no big secret here.
Just salted crackers with peanut butter and chocolate.
But—and there’s a big but—when it all comes together into a sweet-and-salty layered treat, it’s a party in your mouth.
So the next time you have the munchies—remember me and these salted peanut butter, chocolate, and cracker bars.
A bit about the recipe:
I used a 23 cm by 15 cm Pyrex dish.
I used basic shop-bought salted crackers; you can obviously swap them for any cracker you like or even cookies like Petit Beurre.
In the video, I used natural peanut butter. If you prefer a thicker peanut butter, go for it. It will only do the recipe good (just make sure it doesn't contain palm oil).
I melted the chocolate in the microwave and added a tablespoon of canola oil to make it more fluid. (This adds about 100 kcal to the entire recipe). You can try skipping it, but the chocolate texture will be less pourable.

How to eat it?
When you have serious munchies. (Careful not to finish the whole tray in one sitting!)
Since this snack contains a high amount of fat, I wouldn't recommend eating it right before a workout, as it might cause discomfort during training.
